Grand hotel preserved its charm and character from early 1900's been updated with lifts, swipe cards no keys, aircon, ensuites, tv's in rooms. some of the best customer service I've experienced. restaurant offers great value for money meals and breakfast menu is very popular. located out front door is light rail system or 2 min walk to central station. $22 by rail to airport or $70 taxi in peak times. behind hotel is Market city/Paddy's market which leads into China town, then Chinese gardens and your then entering Darling harbour/Cockle bay water front, full of eateries, tour attractions, ferry boats, outdoor entertainment venues. stroll around at night for the specular views as building light up reflecting off the harbour. Awesome Hotel with friendly helpful staff in a great location. look forward to returning there again.

The location was fantastic, we drove and parked under the Capitol Theatre as we were going to a show. The hotel is just around the corner and within a short walk if we'd caught the train. We loved that we could have a drink and dinner before the show right where we're staying and then, breakfast in the morning. The meals were excellent too, fabulous scrambled eggs. I have to mention the lift, it looked like it was very new and SUPER fast. Most older hotels have horrendous lifts but this was excellent. Loved the decor of the old building too, just a great place. We will definitely be staying again.

Location was wonderful and close to everything we needed. The hotel was clean and quiet, very comfortable and welcoming. We enjoyed our stay immensely and will definitely be coming back again for our future trips to Sydney! Loved the old style decor, really made the experience unique. Finally, we were very grateful for the luggage storage as our flights home were severely delayed. Allowed us to enjoy our final day in Sydney without 50kg of bags behind us! Thanks very much. :)

The hotel is situated right near the central rail station and very near to shops and restaurants. It made a great base to see Sydney and enjoy the bars and restaurants just a short walk away. Despite being above a hotel, we found the rooms quiet and we had great sleeps every night. The room and the bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The hotel restaurant offered good breakfast options and the bar had a good vibe and was a safe place to have a meal and watch the tv.

My husband is in a wheelchair and we stayed in an excellent accessible room with city views. It was spacious and well set up for his wheelchair. It had a fridge, microwave and TV too and was very quiet being on the 7th floor. There's a fast elevator and the hotel is in an excellent location 5 mins walk from Central Station and at the Haymarket light rail stop. It's also a short walk to Chinatown.
